YES, I WANT A MORE PEACEFUL HOME
âžś Ever felt lost in the chaos of parenting?

➜ Overwhelmed by all the parenting experts' opinions and advice?

➜ Caught in a guilt trap with every parenting decision?

âžś Juggling work, school runs, and soccer practice non-stop?

âžś Craving a quiet moment in the middle of the daily whirlwind?

âžś Struggling to keep your cool when everything's a mess?

âžś Wishing for more family time, but time slips away?

If you said yes to one (or all) of these questions, then you're in the RIGHT PLACE.

I understand your struggles and frustrations. I've been right there in those chaotic parenting moments, and I want you to know, you're not treading this path alone.

In fact, there's a massive community of parents, just like you and me, grappling with the day-to-day quest for a calmer, more peaceful home. It's a journey that unites millions of us, sharing in the struggles that often spring from a few familiar stumbling blocks.

Not Setting A Clear Direction

Imagine a ship crossing the sea without a set destination—families can feel the same way without a clear direction. Setting goals and values provides purpose, guiding your family towards a united and meaningful journey.

Failing To Regulate Our Emotions

Parenting is an emotional roller coaster. Failing to regulate our own emotions can impact the entire household. It's about finding the balance between expressing feelings and managing them.

Overlooking the Power of Praise

While discipline gets attention and may influence behavior in the short term, it also disrupts trust. Positive reinforcement, on the other hand, is both more effective at shaping behavior and better at building trust  in the family.

Not Embracing Failure

Navigating life involves inevitable missteps, yet parents often go to great lengths to sidestep them. Embracing mistakes, learning the art of a good apology, is vital to build grit, as well as for learning and growth.

Imagine a home where
peace & enjoyment isn't just a dream but your daily reality.

What would your days look like? How would your relationships improve? How would your energy change? What more would you achieve?

I'm Dr. Marissa Caudill,
The Parent Doctor

I've had the privilege of working with thousands of families in my 15+ years as a child and adolescent psychiatrist.

In my clinical work, especially with adolescents and their parents, I was often struck by difficulty both parents and teens had in changing their responses to each other. Although they both were trying their hardest, ingrained interaction styles had become problematic and were causing heartache and suffering. Even when both parents and child were trying their hardest, they were often stuck in a painful pattern.

I found myself wondering, "What if I had met these children and parents 5-10 years earlier? What if, during those formative years, they could have paved paths that would have helped them build trust and open communication?"

This is now my dream, to work with as many parents of pre-teen kids as possible, to help parents forge strong bonds, define shared family values, inspire their kids with masterful emotion regulation, establish a regular gratitude practice habit, all while embracing and celebrating the inevitable failures that occur on every path of progress.

As parents, we must live our lives in such a way that our children will be inspired to want to grow up and do as we do. Is it work? Yes but there's no more worthwhile work, I promise you.
